Kirk A. Guidry, Sr. is an attorney licensed to practice law in Louisiana since 1991 and is admitted to practice in all Federal Courts in Louisiana in addition to the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. For many years, Kirk has been selected for inclusion in Louisiana SuperLawyers Personal Injury Plaintiff. In 2019, Kirk was selected Lawyer of the Year in Product Liability Litigation in the Baton Rouge area, and he has an A.V. Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell. Furthermore, he has been part of the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyers for many years.
Kirk grew up in Lafourche Parish and speaks fluent Cajun French. After serving as Executive Assistant to the Governor of Louisiana, Kirk attended the Southern UniversityLaw Center where he graduated first in his class in 1991, having received American Jurisprudence Awards in five subjects and served on the Moot Court Board.
Kirk began his associate with his current firm as a law clerk during law school and continued as a lawyer, participating in his first jury trial just three days after being sworn in as an attorney. Today, he is a senior attorney at the firm Due Guidry Piedrahita & Andrews, LLC.
Kirk has served on the Executive Committee, Board of Governors, and Counsel of Directors of the Louisiana Association for Justice. He also served as Chairman of the LTLA's Auto Torts section from 2005-2006. Specializing in Personal Injury cases, Kirk has handled almost every kind of personal injury action including auto, products liability, admiralty and maritime cases.
