Mark J. Mansfield is a law partner at the law firm of Tranchina & Mansfield. Born and raised in Metairie, LA, Mansfield graduated from Jesuit High School, earned a B.A. in history from Franciscan University where he graduated cum laude with an honors commendation, and obtained his J.D. from Loyola University College of Law.
Mansfield has been A.V. Rated by Martindale-Hubbell since 2010 and has earned the distinction of being a 'Super Lawyer' by SuperLawyers Magazine since 2014, a distinction that less than 5% of attorneys are honored with. He was named one of the Top 50 attorneys in New Orleans and in the entire state of Louisiana by SuperLawyers Magazine for 2020 and was recognized with a 'Leadership in Law Award' by New Orleans CitiBusiness Magazine. He is considered one of the 'Top Attorneys in Family Law' by the Best Lawyers in America and is a board certified Family Law Specialist, certified by the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization.
Mansfield began his career as an associate in an estate-planning law firm, but quickly realized his calling was in the courtroom. He soon joined the Jefferson Parish District Attorney's Office as a prosecutor, starting in juvenile court where he tried hundreds of cases. Since leaving the District Attorney's office in 2004, Mansfield has specialized his practice in the areas of family law. He continues to successfully represent many clients in a variety of areas throughout the greater New Orleans area. He and Frank P. Tranchina formed the law firm of Tranchina & Mansfield in 2009.
